Dog and Cat Photo Contest Contest Entry
These are two of my rabbits, Bon Bon - a female, and Bun Bun - a male, having some cuddle time on my front lawn. Five minutes before, as I came out of the house to check on them, I caught them "in the act." The first time they fooled around, nothing came of it, but the second attempt produced three babies that I named, Pixie, Trixie and Dixie. Being that they are Florida Marsh Rabbits, they don't have large litters, three is about it, and if one survives, I am lucky. At ten days old, they open their tiny eyes and they are immediately out on their own! That's when the hawks start coming. These innocent little babies are easy targets for the hawks, eagles and occasional ospreys. Taken with my Canon EOS 90D, f/5.6, 1/80 sec., ISO-100, 0 step, 300 mm, max ap 5, no flash, no tripod.
