Photograph of the Month Contest Entry 
I got this at the town gardens with a 50mm common lens. "Common" in pre Phone Camera, pre Digital SLR and pre SLR terminology meant this was the kit lens that commonly came with the camera you bought. A 50mm with good glass lets you get close in low light settings. A good 50 can open up to f/1.4 which is handy when you want to set a romantic mood with only candle light or low restaurant lighting. In this case the light was just fine so I wanted to get close and keep everything in the frame in sharp focus with minimum distortion. The Bee was uninvited he dropped in just before the exposure...
