Years ago i had several hollyhocks growing alongside my garage, but after awhile they died out, or were eaten by our ever encroaching wildlife population-lol! They were no match for deer, woodchucks, rabbits. So I was a bit surprised when I saw some growing alongside the garage this year, behind the butterfly bushes that nothing seems to eat. Wasn?t long before the new batch of young woodchucks discovered them and ate them back except for one that I put some fencing around. it was successful in blooming, putting out some beautiful yellow blooms. I shot this, placing a piece of black cardboard behind it. I adjusted sharpness, brightness, darkened the background further, added a slight glow filter.
