I don't know how many times we have passed this village on the main road, but without ever going into it. One of the reasons is that you can't see very much of it from the road, and the street going into it is extremely steep and narrow. This time we decided to walk into it, and was surprised about what we found.

The small, traditional village of Pigi belongs to the municipality of Western Mani and is built at an altitude of 370 metres among dense vegetation.

It is located near Platsa, which in the past was the centre of Exo Mani (Messenian Mani). Pigi has a beautiful view towards the sea and the area of Agios Dimitrios.
