Photograph of the Month Contest Entry 
Most of our fields are overgrown, mainly several varieties of goldenrod that bloom sunny yellow in the late summer, early fall; by October the goldenrod tarnishes and goes to seed. By this time the does go into heat and are pursued by amorous bucks, often going to ground in these dense fields, hoping the bucks loose their scent.
