Partial Eclipse with a few clouds

I was very fortunate to have chosen the perfect location from which to capture the Eclipse on the 8th of April. Had I been any further Northeast or Southwest, I would have likely missed most or all of it due to the heavy cloud cover that day across the region. With just a small thin cloud about halfway through the eclipse being the only exception, the sky was completely clear from beginning to end. Those same clouds are also what are providing the 'shaded' areas on the sun in my image. As a bonus, I also capture a couple of small sunspots which happened to be in the part of the sun not covered by the clouds. A once in a lifetime shot for me, that is for sure!
Post Type: Photography
Mixed Media: Minor | Captured from Mena, AR using a 500mm lens and a 16.5 stop specialty lens. The lens cast everything in a very cool temp so a warming filter was used in post production to return image to a more natural color range. Minor adjustments to levels and curves as well. Applied Topaz Labs DeNoise filter as final adjustment.
