Mixed Media: Major | This photo has had many changes in Photoshop, to the color and texture, to create this pastel look. I then added the poem written by me, and signed the composition in Sketch. This is an exploration of deep thoughts of loss and pain. I actually created this a few years ago and was hoping there would be a contest at some point, where this would be a good fit but I decided I just want to add it to my portfolio. This a documentary of me, my feelings and my photo art. Thank you for this platform and the opportunity to build my online portfolio.

Photograph of the Month Contest Entry
We've all had some type of trauma in our lives. It's part of life and unavoidable but how we deal with that trauma, is what defines us. Obviously some people have mental illness that makes it harder to deal with trauma and need help finding their way out of the darkness. I'm grateful that I have not experienced that level of depression but I am not immune to those feelings and I am grateful for my art and the ability to pull those feelings from the depths of my soul and to be able to create something cathartic and healing. This is my story.
