This piece was inspired by the mythical fire bird the Phoenix. The Phoenix inspires us to get up and dust ourselves off whenever we experience a setback. The overall feel of this piece is light and heat. I tried to achieve this effect by using colors associated with fire and burning. I left the bottom third of the painting relatively empty so as to give the viewer a sense of boundless space and potential. Enjoy!
