Something Old Photo Contest Contest Entry

Why did I return to FAR? This is why! FAR challenges and contests encourages us to step out of our comfort zones and try new things - continuous learning! Without FAR, I would have never thought to rummage through the family chest of heirlooms. The prompt to do so, not only stirred my ancestral interest but then created the opportunity to brainstorm how I would present a 145 year old baby shoe (that measures 4 1/2 inches) in a interesting, aesthetically pleasing way. As I continue to dive into the unknown of photoshop (baby steps, LOL), this exercise was fun and educational.

Mixed Media: Some | Using a potable light Box, I suspended the shoe in the air with a string. Took the picture and commenced with changing the background to black (was grey), Used photoshops healing brush to remove the string, added text (description).
