Something Old Photo Contest Contest Entry

This is an old thatched cottage in an English village called Amport down the lane from where we are staying at the moment. There are about a dozen thatched cottages in the neighbourhood mostly from the 15th to 17th century. Of course the houses have been updated except for their thatched roofs. This house has a thatched roof over the old well in front of it too. Thatched cottages are so quintessentially English and remind me of fairytales.
