I have had wood ducks at my pond in the woods for just over a week, after trying to use the picnic table for cover which resulted in a pair flying off, I put up my blind. To my surprise, I could hear them vocalizing at the pond the nest morning; I had thought that the blind might spook them and they would not come back. After literally having to CRAWL up the side of the pond to keep from being seen, I was able to stand up behind the blind and duck (no pun intended!) inside. This time there were at least 12 woodies, males and females, some swimming around , others under the over hanging bushes at the OTHER end of the pond, which I thought was highly rude; I had hoped they would be closer. They were fun to watch(when they weren’t sleeping!), some were bobbing for acorns, and one of the males decides it was a good idea to mate with a female. Adjusted brightness, added and adjusted vintage and glow filters.
