Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie - Photo Contest Entry

Huntsman spiders catch their prey by hunting rather than in webs. They are also called giant crab spiders because of their size. They have a lifespan of about 2 years. Diet consists of a variety of insects, arthropods, small lizards and frogs. With 94 known species in Australia alone, they are also common in Africa, Asia, The Americas, The Mediterranean Basin and Hawaii.
