This piece is supposed to depict the mind of man. How people are beautiful, but can abuse their beauty. Humans are the only living organism to have the ability to imagine, create, and destroy. Being able to love, to hate, and exploit. The ballerinas represent the victims, as in history they are used and exploited. The rich people depicted are the victors, manipulating and exploiting the "inferior", such as the ballerinas. The angels represent the protectors, yet cant always save these victims. The soldiers, though tough, stand as the naive, propaganda easily convincing them to do what is "right".The ballerina in the middle of this piece is the only individual smiling, since it is her "last dance". Thinking she will be saved from her cruel reality, but only destroyed by the man made creation of war. Destroying everyone.
