Desert not Dessert Contest Entry 
One of the plants that can survive in a desert climate is the yucca plant. It has a beautiful white flower when blooming that turns into this seed head when it dries. I think the seed head has it own beauty. We lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico for a while and was able to get some wonderful desert shots along the way.
