This was taken on what would be the last time I would ever walk with Bullseye; it wasn’t a long walk, just a short one thru the woods to a point just above our pond where he decided to lie down. I had been photographing him for nearly four years, most of his life; 4 days after I took this photo he would be shot and killed; I would see the final seconds of his life as he ran down thru our woods, stumble and fall, by the time I reached him , he was gone. I was blessed with his trust and acceptance and shared a bond few will ever know. He may no longer be a part of this world, but I will find him in the next.
