For well over a decade I have witness what our committee usually votes on in the Still Art competition. You know, stuff that beginner artists usually draw or paint like fruit in a bowl or flowers in a vase. Boring to me nor not much of a challenge and of course for over a decade I try many approaches to this contests that is NOT that boring fruit and flowers as well as trying to be creative.. So I thought to myself, maybe the committee doesn't have a detail definition of Still Art and are ONLY looking for only fruit and flowers. I am only going by the actions in the past of committee decisions. So I figured i would help them and provide a Wikipedia definition for Still Art...wink......(Stop Dreaming....Start Doing...and Don't Ever Stop Believing In YOURSELF!)
A still life (pl.: still lifes) is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which are either natural (food, flowers, dead animals, plants, rocks, shells, etc.) or human-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, etc.)
