A pensive, melancholy lady.

Introspection

Human Form Art Contest Contest Entry
A charcoal and watercolour depiction of a lady, sitting pensively. Against the watercolour blues, her outline's form was crafted from negative space, using charcoal. The right side of the paper is somewhat lighter than the left, creating some impression that light is hitting her from that direction. It's a melancholy image, but not without a glimmer of hope's brightness. The image was also run through an oil paint filter in the Krita digital art program, making it crisper.
Post Type: Mixed Media Traditional Art
Mixed Media: Some | This image was made with a combination of watercolour and charcoal. It was also run through an oil paint digital filter to sharpen some of its features.
