Lights And Shadows - Art Contest Entry
I love to attempt finding the lights and darks on the surface of a marble statue. Sometimes the lights and shadows are so subtle. I drew an outline of the marble face and then colored in entire face with white charcoal. I then blended to make it appear smooth. I started adding hints of shadow with soft black charcoal. I used a dry, soft paintbrush to blend the white and black charcoals.
Post Type: Traditional Art
Mixed Media: None | This is a white and black charcoal study of a marble statue. The outline was done in graphite pencil then colored in with white charcoal. Soft black charcoal was added for shading.
