I originally began before digital cameras were available and used to develop my own black and white photos - a digital camera plus computer is a LOT easier and quicker!

The birds in Africa are so stunning! This starling and others like it (the superb starling, purple starling, long-tailed glossy starling etc.) are very common and always come to beg for scraps whenever you stop to eat something! They're very cheeky and will really come quite close. I took this one on a picnic in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
