A year or so ago we held a weekly market in the village on the village green. People would come and chat, listen to the musician (the one on the left), drink a beer and buy vegetables, fruit juice, cheese ... and stuff. The market was only held during the summer months but sadly has ceased to function, not enough people to warrant the vendors turning up (there are 35 people in our village so not a metropolis). We do have weekly markets in all the small towns and large villages around us though.
