April 27, 2011..... The outbreak of the century...…. The weatherman said "The most ripped conducive environment for tornadoes ever documented". This "Super Outbreak" would produce 65 EF3 tornadoes, 11 EF4 tornadoes, and 4 EF5 tornadoes. The scientists days before warned the public of the day coming on April 27, 2011. A whopping 45% chance of EF2 or stronger tornadoes that day (keep in mind normally it is a 15% chance normally, so with this high chance it was basically a guarantee of tornadoes happening it was just a matter of when). The outbreak started earlier in the morning around 4 when a squall line moved through the area, this line produced tornadoes some being EF2 and EF3 tornadoes very early in the morning. This would knock out cell and tv service to about a quarter of a millions viewers. Which would effect communication to the public about appending storms.
I have drawn Smithville (2011: Smithville, MS Horror), Rainsville (Rainsville Ghost), and Hackleburg (In a town called Hackleburg) EF5s tornadoes, including the Tuscaloosa (Sit down why don't you, and Maybe EF5 instead EF4) EF4 from the Super Outbreak that happened back on April 27, 2011. There were 4 EF5s on that day, however I didn't draw the very first EF5 of the day until now. This tornado was the very first EF5 of day and set the tone for the rest of the Outbreak. This tornado happened in Philadelphia, MS. This tornado dug a trench 2 FEET DEEP in areas of its path. Literally this tornado turned trees to dust leaving the creator the trees once stood at. Swept away WELL-BUILT homes, ripped asphalt out of the ground and had estimated winds around 225 mph. Even through this tornado did not travel as far as the other EF5s it sure did pack a punch! Between April 25-28 of 2011 a total of 360+ touchdown, with 290 on April 27 alone.
