This is an art piece that I created to represent part of my pain and struggle over this past year. It is very personal, and tells a story. This last year I have been faced with so many challenges. My daughtersÂ’ grandma, someone who was like a mother figure to me tragically and unexpected passed due to bullying. It caused me to go down my own faith journey, and go out of my comfort zone. I started to use my art to express my emotions, pain, and experiences. I went through a whole battle after her passing mentally, spiritually, and was just lost as a whole. But God answered my prayers in so many ways and pulled me out of the dark place I was in. My unexpected journey to faith has shown me through this struggle that I can face anything life throws at me. He gave me the strength to take the situation to court, it was a long battle, but I got justice for her and my daughter. This art piece symbolizes the strength and courage I had with the help of God and how the strength of faith will get you through anything, if you just trust in him, it will all work out. It also symbolizes the things I am thankful for in life, such as my daughter, the things that I feel bring me purpose.
Post Type: Traditional Art
Mixed Media: None | This is a very personal art piece. Its an acrylic painting that I precieve as my struggles and awakening to my faith over this last year. The left side of the painting represents my happy place. And the right represents the struggles I went through to get to where I am today.
