Imagine, getting ready for bed. You are watching the weather. They issue a Tornado Emergency (Highest warning to receive). Then, you start to hear the wind and rain pick up. Then louds claps of thunder, bright lighting. Then, all of sudden you hear a continuous roar, with growling. You run to the basement. The house begins to shake and brake above. Then, just like that it goes quiet.... That is how it was for the residents of the town of Greensburg on May 4, 2007. This was the very first EF5 on the new EF scale that rates tornadoes. This tornado was 1.9 miles wide, while the town itself is only 2.2 miles wide 👀. This tornado would go on to wipe away 95% of the town and the other 5% was heavily damaged to where you could not savage it. This tornado happened at night around 9:40. Which made it even worse because people could not see it coming. The only how you could see it was lighting. Storm chasers that were chasing this storm was horrified when they saw the tornado whenever the lighting made it visible being so wide and rain-wrapped at that. When drawing this twister, I decided to make it appears as it was still daylight outside so you can see the enormous size of it. This is from a picture of the tornado that one of the chasers captured when lighting made it visible.
