This thought-provoking artwork merges the eye of a human with the map of the Earth, forming a powerful symbol of unity, awareness, and interconnectedness.

The iris, vibrant in hues of blue and green, mirrors oceans and forests, suggesting that the planet lives within us, just as we live upon it.

The continents gracefully contour around the eye, reminding us that to care for the Earth honestly, we must first see it, not as distant geography, but as part of ourselves. It's a visual call for empathy, stewardship, and a deeper connection with the world we inhabit.

I created this using watercolours on 300gsm rough watercolour paper, measuring 14"x20". Afterwards, I used Picasa to adjust the colours, brightness, and shadows slightly.
