I wanted the drawing to radiate a sense of mystery and quiet strength. The wide, unblinking eyes draw the viewer in, giving the impression that the subject is holding an unspoken truth.

The floral crown and butterflies add a delicate, dreamlike quality, while her straight posture and composed lips suggest self-control and inner resilience. The contrast between the intricate organic details and the calm, symmetrical face gives the whole piece an almost meditative balance.

This artwork was drawn entirely using drawing pens, allowing me to create fine lines, intricate patterns, and precise details. The pen work provides the piece a sharp, clean contrast and helps bring out the textures in the flowers, butterflies, and hair. I did it on smooth paper, 250 gsm, 9"x12".
