Hey Moonwillow. I love everything about this. There is an innocent and purity in the use of lovely bright colours, the garden, the little girl in the yellow dress. Stunning. It has such an old world charm.
Magical place. I wish I had a garden like this too!
The composition is lovely and balanced with the tree to the right and the bushes to the left, both items in the foreground and yet they don't detract from the vibrant yellow in the girl's dress, the flowers framing her and the bird. I also notice how you've matched the colours.
Even the suggestion of misty backdrop, as if the garden goes on forever is lovely.
A sweet, innocent sense in this. Nicely done. This is something that would look lovely as a print on block on a child's bedroom wall.

I think you've captured your memory very well in this painting. I especially love the detail in all the foliage throughout the piece. The hummingbird right in front of the girl has more meaning too, I think, with the story you've so kindly added.
