I love cardinals and your shot of this female on a white pine is fantastic. The angle, lighting and focus are wonderful. This definately would be a favorite Christmas card of mine.

She's a little beauty, alright.
I like the way the soft light highlights the details on the bird.
She's definitely prettier than I though. I always thought the females of the species are usually dull in colour.

Great technique as the female is usually not as colorful. The colors are quite harmonious and the pine branch looks sharp and clear.The birds beak is focal point. Just a gorgeous picture. Thanks for entering.

I love this - if I had a little extra money lying around, I'd buy this print for my mother who loves cardinals:) Subject is well framed, great use of natural lighting.
