What a beauty so nicely profiled! Love the lighting, rich color and selective focus of this tiny heron. Great textural strengths, beauty of poise and balance of light to dark contrasting as well as exposure.

Even for just a single point and 2 member cents, I had to comment on this one. These little greens are very rare where I live and on the two occasions I have found them, they proved to be very elusive s well. This one seems to be posing for the camera, what a treat!

How did you get such a high impact shot please share. This is so crisp the detail is so striking and the colors jump out the light balaance is perfect I see from your notes you adjusted the contrast but what settings did you use to get such a perfect still like this...As a newbie any help to improve my work would be gladly received

Thank you so very much! I was driving around a public lake near my home early in the morning. The sun was just starting to come out, so the light was dim so I has my ISO set on 200 the shutter speed was 60/sec f8. Then I adjusted the contrast after the download!
