A great story to go along with your photo I think a stop or two msy have helped woth your DOF and got more in focus . This color is so striking I can see how you would be atracted to it good job and thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks for the feedback, I am finding that the lens on the Nikon D3100 is not as good with macro shots as my previous camera (hoping for a specific macro lens for my upcoming birthday) then again hopefully will keep improving with hints from reviewers.

These are lovely, Mary, and so unusual. This has great colors, clarity, and details. I like the dark background which really makes this pop. I have never seen anything like this growing here in the USA. Well done....

Really nicely done. I love the effect of only having one berry in focus. Not sure if its the sun or a flash unit causing the white reflections,but they give a pleasant counterpoint effect.
