I was browsing photos to find one for a poem I wrote and this picture caught my eye, although it is not the right fit for my story, I had to review it. I absolutely love this! The description and title are perfect compliments to this wonderful photo. Your friend should be a model!

I'm usually not a fan of portraits, but this image is extremely beautiful: delicate, moody, ethereal in a dark, brooding way. The lighting is perfect, with the darkened background contrasting, softly, with her face, hair and shirt. The depth of field is likewise perfect and further enhancing the feel of stillness and inner space, a psychological suspension in time... Wonderfully suggestive image!

Initial impact and creativity in presentation are very good. Story telling good too. Lighting fits the mood. If it was planned out ahead of time different clothing would have added more to the mood. Black & white is great but showing her tummy doesn't add to the same timelessness of the rest of the photo. I know this might be personal preferance. Technically sound.
