That is a real beauty were I do not miss any dragons or car smashing creatures. It is a sweet picture and a sweet story. The colors are just right for it. I think there are a few little things you could fix easily. Miranda's chin seems a bit of. Her low jar seems to be to big for a little girl. It also dos not look good so close and almost parallel the black stripe on the sleeve. I think it would be good to erase all of the lighter colored area of the chin all down to the brown shading in the face, The sunlight on the nose is fine; but we do not need it on the chin.I also think the arm across her waist could use a bit more of detail.

I like this one more than the dragon actually. Why?Because it doesn't look perfect. It looks like a painting that didn't take weeks in the thought process. It's a beautiful image,I love the composition, the colors, everything about it.This has soul Diane.

Such a delightful picture--it brings a smile to the face. I love the joyous expression on her face, which seems to beam right back to the sun. Bright, cheerful colors add to the overall feeling of pleasure. You have expressed the feelings of gratitude so well, here. Thank you.

This is so sweet, such a pretty and innocent picture, no need for explosions, monsters, weirdness necessary....this is great, such a nice pace from the angry world it can be. I love your colors, the concept, the visualization, and your excellent storytelling. This would brighten anyone's day, like it did mine! Beautiful work!

This is neat the way you have done this one. I really like the way you have the tree in this. I think it would have been better if you had her feet up a little higher in the picture. The arm across her body needs more shading in it. I also think her face looks like an adult not a small child. Just needs a little more work to really make it excellent.

thanks anne, this is still a work in progress for me to do my own drawings and paintings, i rmally used clipart alot so I have gotton away from that and am trying to do my own work, however this is alot more frustrating than just abstract or easy clipart LOL. Her feet are low only due to the transfer from one program to another, orginally tey were higher and more of the ground showed, but I had to continue to transfer between programs to get the differnt effect I wanted for the sky I have to agree with yu abut the face looking more like an adult, you'd be surprised how long i worked on that one, when i had the face right and it looked like a child the coloring was way off, so after adding the different tones, well it wasn't so child like anymore and the arm I knew needed more shading but this is one of those peices that the more i did the orse it got, so I left it alone. However i did use a simular versionof this little girl putting ornaments on a christmas tree that I will post next month, the background coloring makes a big differnce to the shading. cleo gave me the advice of painting and the cutting and adding the background, it works fantasic to make a few differnt pictures LOL
guess its back to the drawing board, or I'll stick with dragons they seem to be a hit LOL
thanks anne as always it is appreciated

You're very welcome! I believe art from the heart is the best kind and has a certain element and success not found in ones that are not painted from the heart:) I like the abbreviation! I hadn't thought much about the name, if I had I would have gone for something short and memorable:) Michelle
