I do like the red dress on them. The pop of color kind of speaks to their "fallen" status. Very expressive body position, definitely feeling the weight of her mistakes.

For a rough draft this is quite good. I do like the pose, it does help to express that she has fallen from the grace of God. Her head is bowed in a some what shameful way, and her inability to pick herself up is well displayed. The splash of color helps to invite the eye into the image. I think this well be a fine pose if one looks at the piece for what it is truly meant to be.

Thank you so much, yes she will be painted large, I think I have 3 definites now so that will do me for the time being. Going to lay off doing any more quick studies, its time to spend a bit more time on my paintings so we can all have a little break from them for a bit. I am so pleased you liked them, thanks for all of your views, its helped a great deal on making my mind up

Thanks for taking the time out to rate these Cyn, especially when I am giving pennies back. Do you mean a heavily pregnant angel? Certainly different, I was torn between doing this pose and when similar to this but with her really facing the ground more so that she looked like she had literally just fell. I will sketch that up and post it. I have that and one more pose and then Im done with them. Would you mind telling me which you prefer of the two when I post the next :) I would be lost without this site, my mind is too fickle, would have taken me forever to choose them myself

Oh really? I quite liked this one, maybe we are all getting fed up of angels lol I have got another similar pose but with he more stretched out and really close to the ground like she has been pushed down, maybe I will try that next. I think I will try 3 more and then stop Thanks so much for your thoughts

I think more pushed down would work. I think my trouble with the pose is that I can't make out her emotional stand. Pushed down or rising? I can't see what she thinks. Maybe you are right. Angels they re currently allover the place. I even have some, but I won't publish them jet.

it looks as if the wings are desintegrating, getting blown away, the arms have some white lines that do not seem to belong, the shadow and light do not show a single direction as if the light source is comming from different angles as it could be, it is very attracting and captivating, a good job really, thank you for sharing, Don Fofo

Yes she has fallen and it has come across so well. "God help me" that is the first thing that came to mind. I would keep to the red dress as it just gives that colour to bring it all alive. Wonderful. sandy

I think this is pretty splendid as is. To my eye the wings look fine except I might leave some room at the top and side as they are crowded there.

Thank you so much John, yes my pad isn't the right size paper the canvases will have much more height so she will be sitting at the bottom of them with quite a lot of darkness around her
