My Father's favorite flower and one that I also admire as they come in so many different varieties.
Nice frame, well focused and the exposure sure seems a tad dark. This my be easily edited. Very pretty.

Yes they are very beautiful and you sure did a very good job in the capture. Very good light to bring out the beautiful yellow. It may been a little better if the bottom one was in the photo.

I think yellow flowers are especially hard to capture strong focus on each flower - but you have done it. The flowers are pretty but not notably unique. Perhaps try a version or two with more hint of the setting or a stronger crop. Thanks for submitting1

A ha! Yes i live but one county away from daffodil and tulip (Skagit Valley)farms. Big tourist attraction here!

Beautiful Daffodils in a very pleasing arrangement the composition is balanced and the focus is sharp. I just question if the contrast couldn't have been increased a bit.

Thanks very much, I prefer to leave as natural as possible, that is the actual color of them so didn't want to play with contrast.

Nice rich feel to this Mary. Why did you chop off that little guy at the bottom? (no, I'm not taking off marks, just wondering). I think it would have been a stronger image with all the flowers in place.

You filled the entire frame with these beautiful blooms and I think you did a great job in the exposure department because the tonality, the contrast and colour saturation are deep and true to life. All is well focused (tripod right, ahem?)

I also like the background, softly blurred and not competing at all with the main stars, colour compatible as well. That ambient light is great, the way it falls on the right hand side and slight darkness to the left.

You have to be careful Mary with your cropping because it's so tight. If you go to print this in a print shoppe they will lop off more and really amputate the petals....I know from first hand experience (have I already mentioned this to you?)

A very happy photo. The Daffodil is used in Canada to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.....in NZ too?

Thank Olga, I moved that little one in some of the other photos that I took but it helped to hide the vase. You have mentioned my zealousness in cropping before, and I have had the misfortune of some bad prints so will have to pay more attention. I think Daffodil day is also in NZ as they tend to follow our lead here in Australia :) they certainly brighten your day and herald the oncoming spring. Cheers Mary
