This is one technique that I NEED to learn and to read your artist's notes boggles my mind as to the creation of this work.

To my mind is is splendid ...to have worked in 11 layers shows us not only your creative streak but also how expertly you have done the post processing.

Purple of course is the colour universally accepted as the colour of spirit and it always evokes an emotion out of viewers then to pop in that red floating shawl/dress causes our visual cortex to vibrate. There is a panic feel to this image with the placement of the mid fishes and we wonder what are they doing here just beneath the Carpathia, it shows us the thought process that went into this piece. HOw long did it take you to create this?

The chandelier is bright and glistens and the three point white pops within your canvas gives great enjoyment to our eyes. We go from chandelier to the ghosts straight down to the horn blower and then to the bottom white only to flow over and see the watch /rose of muted colours.

There is balance here, there is atmosphere, and a terrifically strong story with great initial visual impact. Had you not put this into the Titanic Contest we all would have known it was about a sunken ship that had a lot of glitz and glamour to it.

Please get back to me and tell me where I can go to learn about your technique.

My photographic hat goes off to you for your creativity which leaves me in awe.

Thank you very much for your terrific and throughout review!
It is not so easy to tell how much time I spend. I make a concept in my had before I ever start. I tought about it while doing daily scores [cleaning, cooking, etc.]for weeks. The thought process needs usually the longest time. I made some different versions, so again hard to catch the time; but I think that the work on this version was only around 30 hours or so. I am not sure where to go to learn that. There are many online courses now, regarding the different programs. I admit, I did not take any. I am entirely selftought using the help features of my programs and trial and error. I also switch bethween programs, even programs not convertible with each other by resizing them into convertible formats. I doubt that there is anyone on line who would tech that. Non of the program producer want to share with someone else. I may be able to write a step by step manual for this picture, but that would be regarding my programs and may not applies to yours. How far I remember you are using photo- and paintshop. My programs are Digital Image Suite, Photo Explosion, and ArtRage.

Yes, it is so nice to get absorbed in the creative process as you have...thinking about it is better than thinking about something negative like the stock market, the wars raging around us, the slaughter of elephants in Africa. I know there are tutorials on You Tube regarding layer work and when I'm ready I will pop in and TRY to learn something new. Thank you for this pleasant conversation.

Well, I think about the negative too. I have to. We cannot avoid it, since we are confronted with them in daily life, but it is good to do both just to stay level.
I hope you try the layers. First it seems very complicated; but after a while you wonder why you tought it complicate. Patience is the magical word to do it; but I know you have that patience I know your work. :-)
Thanks for the conversation. I really enjoyed it!
