Your haunting memory has produced a very emotive work. The stairway was evident before reading your notes which break my heart for you little girl inside who is still in pain. This is a very different direction for you. THe linear, geometric forms are present in most of your pieces, but this one is like a negative. I like it. Jean

This is so different and unique. You handle geometry feature very well. That is what I notice throughout your artwork.
Anywayâ?¦
This drawing is not really based on the happy memory. Sorry about that. My initial impression form the artwork is similar to that. The blue tone in the image is too cold. The stair way is so winding and too long and overpowering.
Thank you for sharing.

Stairways have a way of fixing a memory in our minds. Might be due to the overwhelming size they seem as a child. As a child we must labor to go up or down. They can be over powering, especial if an adult stands at the top and looks down at you on the bottom. Wetting beds are so normal for children. The problem most adults forget that they too wet beds as children. Bladder size, control, and such reason as that are much more common that emotional reasons. Many adults must wear pads today, if not they would wet the bed. Thanks for sharing the life experiences, John
