I didn't know you are a baseball fan! You've caught not only an unexpected angle. You've caught the action, precision and effort that goes in to that slide into home base. The dust in his dust, that's not what I mean. I mean the dirt he displaces adds to his action pose and determination. I like it a LOT. I think the left arm bent inward is genius.

Hey! I really like this. My favorite part: the POV! What an interesting take on baseball player sliding into home! Well drawn. Great color -- a reflection of the game, for sure. (Where's the dust in the slide though?) ;-)

Before I even looked at the title of this piece of art, in my mind I thought, "Safe!" The drawing of the player looks very realistic. I like the use of pointillism in the dirt. I sound so artistically informed, don't I? I am a retired school teacher and our art teacher always had her students use this technique, thus I know the term. I like the use of the shadow and the slide marks. Very well done. If you would have done art of a Cincinnati Red, namely Joey Votto, my daughter would have bought it in a heartbeat.

u now i have been drawing for 5 decades and i never learned that term until i joined fanartreview..so ur in great company..wink. i was doing a lotta of the teams of the MBL but folks got bored so i moved onto other topics..but sure if i get motivated i can produce one real quick..hint hint..evil grin.. thanks for the awsome review.

well 1st i need how big r u talking about. remember bigger the size more the ink..see to get the rich colors on this i go over it with the markers at least twice of that base colors before i bring in the other colors so u can say im drawing this at least 2 time over..a drawing this size(8X11) i usually have sold to my fellow FAR members for $100. now i have access to posterboard up to a 32X32, of course the price would go way much higher but as u can see i can tailor to the size she might be interesting in..when ya find out send me a pivate message with the 1.) idea in size...2.) what is she looking for on the action..pitching? catching? Batting?slinding?..and of course what she is looking to spend. thanks again..wink
