I have always been so drawn to realism, or specifically romantic realism but this appeals to me on every level and I absolutely love it.
I wish I could create a painting like this, create such a beautiful place on canvas.

High initial impact! Very pretty! This is such a tranquil and serene setting to be, just to have a rested time. I like the way you've painted the thickness of the plants in the background and the reflections. Perfect for the Contest. Artist Notes is informative.

Beautiful and peaceful scene with a lazy river winding its way long the tall grasses of the riverbank and the tree in the foreground lends a nice touch to add some depth of field. Nice reflection in the water as well. Good luck in the contest.
