Soft pastels are a bit tricky to handle. But you seem to have tamed them very well as seen in this realist painting of the cat. The eyes are mesmeric! The colours are natural and minimal for max impact. Overall, a fine effort!

You captured the cat beautifully. Those green eyes just pull you in and the pose is perfect. I love the background as being simple, but yet part of the picture. You can almost feel the fur on the cat as you look at this picture.

Of course, the eyes will always catch my attention, but I also like the pose you caught him in, hanging out of the window. The two ochre hues you used behind him are very effective and the contrast between the wood and the fur is evident and great job using the paper texture! Very enjoyable and your daughter must have been thrilled! Jean

Adorable cat with nice white colored markings. Bodie has beautiful eyes. At first I thought Bodie's eyes were green but after really looking at them, I think they may be light blue showing a clear reflection of a green field. Regardless, I really like this picture.
