I do not always agree with Lucien either [and he not with me], but I have learned to respect him long time ago. He is always honest and surely a master and a teacher of art [not only of pen art]. I have learned a lot from him, including how to review and bumb or horns in a friendly way. You have him nailed down perfect with those pens and that icon-buffalo!

I remember the Avater, I think, but I do not recall the Old Man. Searched on FAR, but 2 years are to much. It does not show up.

Great imagination and a fitting tribute. The bright blues of the conductor and the monkey really pop the piece. The bull surrounded by the colored pens is a wonderful creative focal point of the artwork. The black backdrop makes the piece jump right off the page. Great job!

When you talk about Van Oosten I look at it from a different point. I think if he could stick with what he thanks it should be and not what you should change it to, I would not have blocked him. Yes he is a fine artist and that I give him, but when he starts telling me what it should look like, I go bunkers.
Oh well, I like this rendering because of the colors and also its mastery.

i listen to good advise i ignore the other bs..there r times yeah i say the same but there other times i say dammit he is right but it goes half and half. i thinks its healthy to have a bias opinion than just a yes man dont u think?.wink..thanks for the great review

I think it does if your trying to become the artist that he wants you to be. I don't mind at all if someone just says I don't like it because of etc..etc. But when someone wants me to make the way they think it should look.,well I can do that to if that someone is going to pay for it.
I took him off the blocked list and became a fan..I'll see what happens.

nah ur taking me wrong..i try to rush to get stuff posted and forget small thing..he catch it but when he start this the i would like to see this deduct a star for whatever and that my usual response is noted and keep it mind but it doesnt mean im gona change it to appease him..like any review it gives me fresh eyes..even from u bro..wink

No problem, I like your work and really can only say what I like and don't like, can't give any info as to how to make it better or even see mistakes because mistakes make art itself...in my opinion.

This beautiful piece, set on a solid black background jumps out at me. The many colors involved helps to bring life to the picture. And the bright blue in wonderful. The mans perfectly drawn and colored white hair draws the observer right to the center of the picture. It's a great job my friend.
