Good Morning Willie
Good initial impact. The image jumps out at you as soon as you open it.
Composition is good. The background on the left I like. The hint of the leaf at the top draws my attention and I search for details and smile. I like the subdued presence.
Lighting is very nice and the darker green very attractive. I don't know what that little white thing is at the V between the two leaves but I would probably crop that out. It is an eye catcher and does not enhance the image for me.
Nonetheless this is a creative piece and very enjoyable to view.

The leaf is just standing out in the most excellent way. I might have considered cloning out the leaf in the upper right corner, but at the same time it is not really distracting.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing clear and well defined details, but it is still the light doing this photo more than anything. The exposure is perfect, and the light is falling on the leaf in such a lovely way.
I think this is quite a creative composition as well, with a framing which works really well. This is an excellent shot with an excellent DOFF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

You never know about judges. LOL I think it is OK to just leave it there since it is more or less sitting in the dark. For me it was more like a "perhaps".
