Yes, it really is a lovely color.
I like that we look down on it, that it is centrally placed.
I would have preferred that you include all of the top petal.If you have tried at a different angle, or gone one step back, you probably could have included it.
Nice definition at the edges, especially the more central petals.
Good blur for the back round.
light is good. I might be wrong, but it looks like the clipped off petal was starting to get too much light.
very pretty.

This is so lovely, and your focus is spot on with great detail. this is my favorite color of a rose and you have done so well with it.
I would still work on the background. At least clone out the bright spots on the left. And I would consider some alternative cropping. Centering thhe flower is doesn't give it the pizzaz it deserves.

Wonderfully focused shot Mary. I am sure there will be those that say you should not have clipped off part of the petal on the top of the bloom. Well maybe it should have been included in the frame, but my focus is on the tightly wrapped center of the rose as it spirals outward opening up the beautifully colored textured petals in the sunlight.

This is really nice Mary. Good detail capturing the frilly ROSE petals in good light. Like the b/g allowing the rose to stand out. The colour harmony is just right. Good notes appreciated
