This is a very good sharp portrait. Is that his tongue or a real carrot? My dog loves carrots so I know it could be real. To improve this, I would have got lower down to the dogs own eye level and had a little more light on the left side of the frame. Probably this is one shot under-exposed and a little brightness would lift it a lot.
