This work must have taken a very, very long-long time to do in this style, point by point. I like it much, as a work done with pen and ink, if it were not done in this style, but this makes it more valuable. Liking realism, I think I personally like the front board although I'm not sure about the shadow's placement. The animal (horse) is done so well and I am drawn into that eye, his thoughts almost. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see one of your pieces again Lucien. The work involved to create this picture of the horse must require tremendous patience and you have definitely perfected the style.
The expression on the face of the horse is great and I love the flaring nostrils.

Hi Lucien, I think it's amazing that you can create an image by using dots of paint. I think you did an amazing job of doing that. I imagine the dots have to be super small to get the detail you did. Love how the final result came out.
I knew Donkeyoaty way back when and would love to say hello. I had a wonderful friendship with him then. I have his old email address but don't know if it's still in affect. Would you mind sharing his address with me in a PM. If you want you can contact him first, I'm hoping he still remembers me.
I think you did a great job with the pointillism on this old image of his! :o) helvi aka Nancy

Hi Lucien, I thought the image was impressive! In my eyes it would take a lot of talent and patience to create a piece like this. I'll try the old email address I have for Donkeyoatey and serif that works. Lucie, you did awesome job with the pointillism! :o) Nancy

Obviously an enormous amount of work went into the artwork and the results are lovely to view! The points of color immediately attracted my eye and I am amazed at the depth you have achieved. Very well done, thanks for sharing!

A good looking nature image posted here together with interesting notes too! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that inquisitive looking horse. Colours, textures and tones are good. Well painted!

Thank you for explaining the method, it's very interesting.
Your artwork is good and you've captured the horse's expression very well. Personally I feel it would be improved if the fencing in the background wasn't there (sorry, it probably took you ages to add that detail!), it would leave a lovely open field behind and the eye would not be so distracted by it.

    Charlotte,
Thank you for having taken the time to look at my work and then to have commented on it. I am pleased you liked the artwork an the information on how it was created. I though that the fences in the background added depth and perspective to the drawing .
The drawing took 40hours to create and complete.
    Thanks again for your time.

Did you look at the other pages in the book?
    Have great day.

    You're very welcome Lucien.
No I haven't looked at the other pages I'm afraid, I'm madly packing for a big house move next month so have very little time to spare.

That's a fine looking picture.
I feel that the uploaded image would look more attractive without that large and distracting FAR watermark cluttering it up though.

Thank you for having taken the time to look at my work and then to have commented on it. So the watermark is what you found distracting, but the actual artwork was flawless?

Comment from E.K.Huskey

Yes! For me, this piece works.
I really appreciate the way you have described your technique. It must take so long to do a masterpiece in this style.
Your color palette is striking bringing one to focus on the details.
Composition and suggestions in the background really set the scene and the way you have acquired the shades in the horse are truly fantastic.

Yes you did achieve your objective in this pointillistic drawing/picture. The detail on the horse and in the background is accurate and very realistic.
