Don't know but I would say it is related to the spider orchid. It is beautifully marked and I have seen a lot of orchids but not this one, We were in Singapore a couple of years ago and the HUGE international orchid show was on. Was that a sight to see. Sandy

Thanks Sandy - yes most have suggested a type of spider orchid, quite different growing in the open in our climate most like humid conditions. :) Mary

It is related to the Spider orchid the "Queen of Sheba" They grow in the open North of Perth in sand soil to the south from Bunbury to Albany and at the Stirling rangers. Some varieties are called north, south, west Queen of Sheba so somewhere in there these fit in. Sandy

Great composition with the blossoms receding along the diagonal. Not the slightest idea what they might be (at first I thought they might be some kind of lily. Great colors and a fine natural background. Excellent job of cropping too.

Yes, I think these are some sort of orchid. A good photograph with nice balance.love that there are different views, stages of the flower opening, it gives unity to the image. A good shot!

This probably is some sort of tiger lily because of the spots, or maybe an iris, but it looks more like a lily. Good shot, pretty good focus, a little soft, really good color. thanks for sharing.

Yes, they do look like an orchid, really neat looking. Like your frame on three, focus and exposure with a nice background all showing the colors and textures of these unique flowers.

The angle of this shot is really nice. It's like the flowers are leaning in to listen to a really interesting conversation.
