Hi and I had to go to your portfolio to see if you were still on this site as I haven't bumped into you much. I too am not promoting.
This looks like a winner to me Willie the colour is spectacular ....all primary colours and strong. The angle too is phenomenal. Sharp....which topaz adjust button did you use...oftentimes Buz Simms works to make things brilliant and if you bring it down to show all details it really punches out the shot.
Anyhow, just thought I'd let you know that I was missing you.

Thank you so very much for a great review and high score! I see very little use in promoting as you really get nothing out of it. For beginners is OK for advise but other than that it is a lot of wasted time and a lot of member dollars. I just enter contests and use my prize money to create contests.
I used Topaz adjust five. I adjusted detail until it was very heavy then used threshold to make it look natural then adjust the color. Sometimes it causes the noise to be enhanced also so I have to use Topaz denoise. I have to put it in layers and use the eraser tool over the subject.

Now that is good to know for I have done the same thing with denoise as it tends to soften everything so I bring back the detail via mask. I feel the same way as you do with promoting....don't want to be part of that game anymore. I just started two photo contests ....not to win so much but as to learn from each other. Check em out.

Good Morning Willie
This is beautiful. Love the composition and colors. When your said pop you really meant it. This image really is sharp and clear and bright. I am surprised at how clean it is also. It sure does not look like it has been used in the fields.
You have done well with this one. I like it a lot.

Thank you so very much for a great review and high score! I don't think it had been used that day, I saw it sitting along the edge of a farm so I stopped and got a few shots and drove away.

A very nice entry for the contest Willie. Why not try something that you have won with before. LOL Yes, I do remember that a similar photo won the same type of contest. This hay rake looks so perfect that I don't think it has been used at all. The yellow and red is just standing out from the blue sky in the most excellent way.
Your photo is also pin sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of this tool, and the exposure is perfect. Crisp and clear colors and I also like the limited pallet.
The tight cropping is perfect, and wheel shape we see in full is nicely set off to the left. It is a really well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! I simply had nothing any better to use and hope the judging staff does not look at it as it had won before. I really do like these things as it has all sorts of patterns and colors.

Oh dam, I haven't a 6 but you get top marks from me for this. What a wonderful capture of shapes and colour. Red, yellow and blue and you can't go wrong. Love the angle that you took this from what a wonderful idea. Sandy

Like this one Willie very abstract view of the hay rake. Great colour contrasting well against the blue sky. Good sharp focus.

From the underside they look like a ride at the fair. One that twirls people not hay. Very colorful with good contrast. From your angle you were able to catch several different angles of the rakes.
cutting hay was one of my favorite jobs on the farm.
