Thanks Fred, I think it was a mix of fine gravel and white sand compressed to form the road. :) Mary

Why am I reviewing this twice??? Awesome photo, beautiful trees, clear and nice road it wonderful and very bright. Tree magnificent and colors with green and yellow are wonderful. Centered, detailed and shadowed properly. Great photo and great eye viewer.

I'm not so sure how much of an improvement the pavement is (unless you're trying to get somewhere). A nicely framed shot with very good colors and some great gum trees.

I think they call it progress.. Lol. The angle of the shot of the old tree by the road is great. The capture of the light is great. The clarity is great. The image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Good story telling. Like the composition except would prefer to see bit more of the road on the bottom left.

Any distracting elements?
Diminishing perspective. Vanishing viewpoint.

Thanks Dick, to be honest I was trying to get the trees and the road was secondary but there were some rubbish and things alongside road.
