Awesome photo of this amazing butterfly. Colors are just so bright, clear and beautiful. What is this wonderful butterfly doing on shrubby leaf there must be a bud somewhere to attract his attention. Well done.
The background is perhaps a bit cluttered but it is sufficiently dark so that this is not an issue.
Although the butterfly is also dark, there is still sufficient difference so that it still stands out well.

Like the overall muted colors. Also find the leaves to be an ideal counter point to the wings as both are veined.
Nice sharp subject. Good initial impact.

A very nice subject with great colors. I like the setting and the nice composition but think that the antennae and head are a bit soft. Unless I was shooting this focal length from a tripod I would always use an ISO of at least 800.
