You have indeed captured the moon well Willie, and I am truly impressed about how well we can see the surface of it. The all dark sky is of course perfect, and I especially like that the moon is not full. For some reason this adds interest to the simplicity of this scene.

The moon is standing out sharp and well defined against the sky and it is even possible to see the fine textures in the surface of the moon. I also think the exposure is spot on.

The framing and format is perfect and the moon has got a very good placement off to the right. This is indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
