This is such a fresh and stunning photo.... I am impressed as it appears to be in HD. You have called your Canon a dated camera..which obviously doesn't matter with a good photographer behind the viewfinder. Your post processing has been minimal and yet effective for sure.

The natural greens and blues bring me right into this photo. It feels like I am viewing it through a window. Your abundant white clouds are a vibrant whites and natural shadowed grays. A good control of your white balance.

Your framing is perfection. You have sustained the feeling of standing in the foot prints of the photographer..instead of cropping out too much of the surroundings of this scene.

I don't know that I have ever seen the Mighty Mississippi look so lovely. Thanks for finding this one and sharing it! Good luck!!

Wow, talk about a feel good review, this was right up there. Thanks for such great support and thorough review. Can some of your talent rub off on other FAR members!?

It does look a bit like HDR, I think the light was just right to highlight the clouds as it has done. Maybe I need to shoot with the point and shoot and store the Sony for awhile! :)

When I was standing there, I felt a little like the first explorers in the Midwest, seeing the River much like they might have seen it. This POV is in a state park, hopefully protected forever for use by all.

I love this site for coverage of fellow members from almost every country throughout.Here we are looking at this vast panorama of Mississippi and valley.Tremendous journey you have created with those quoted shades of green. Balanced well to expose the vast width of river on its long journey.You have captured a perfect day to show off this wonderful scene complete with that cloud riddled sky.
