Hi Willy, Lovely blues, Just think you ought to crop just above the trees, Lots of vacant blank space. I would of put a couple of gulls in the frame. Lovely sea.

Thank you so much! The contest is over and this did not win. I agree with your comment and I can understand I need to work on such scenes. I live 1000 miles away from where this was taken so I don't really get many seascapes. I am going on a sea cruse in December and hope to get a lot then.

I like the blue/green overtone!
Visually soothing & appealing.
Minimalist composition without much distracting elements.
Subdued lighting.
Diffused focusing.
Dead centered horizon!
Can we crop the sky portion a bit for us to focus on the contest theme subject?
Best of luck in the contest!
Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

My very first though was grand calm in the scene. Would just love this visual grandness in my own eyes sitting on that beach. :-)) Wonderful breath of fresh air. Great technical skill as well - the colors are wonderfully natural and the lighting well played. Great relaxing moment of joy! Thanks for sharing! Good Luck!

Gorgeous! The myriad colors of blues and aquas in this scene are amazing! I feel as if I am looking at this live. Your exposure is absolutely spot on! Not easy to do on a sunny day in the Keys! Your mostly open frame with that hint of a sailboat in the distance and the sandy point reaching into the frame is very dramatic. Almost intimating being lost at sea..:D I admire your vision to realize the textures, colors, light and shadows that create the loveliness in this composition. Beautiful and a delight to view. Thank you!
